You qualify for the PM Surya Ghar subsidy
- Owner-occupied, own roof, domestic connection, no earlier subsidy: you meet the published eligibility conditions.
Documents you will need
- Latest electricity bill (consumer number and sanctioned load)
- Proof of ownership of the house
- Aadhaar or another photo ID matching the bill name
- Bank account details and a cancelled cheque for the subsidy transfer
- Passport-size photograph
- Roof photographs (an engineer takes these on the survey)
Eligibility conditions as published by MNRE and the BSES FAQ: Indian citizen, owns a house with a suitable roof, valid electricity connection, no earlier solar subsidy. The DISCOM decides technical feasibility.
