Rooftop solar price in Noida, 1 to 10 kW

A 3 kW rooftop solar system in Noida costs ₹1,99,000 to ₹2,10,000 on Verde Solaire's published price list, and ₹91,000 to ₹1,02,000 after the ₹78,000 central subsidy and the ₹30,000 Uttar Pradesh subsidy. It generates about 338 units a month, which covers a home with two to four air conditioners, and the net cost is typically recovered in three to five years on Noida's tariff.

That is the whole answer for the most common size. The rest of this page gives the same figures for 1, 2, 5 and 10 kW, explains what PVVNL requires for the net meter, and lists the assumptions, so that the quote you eventually receive holds no surprises.

The price table for Noida

The published price includes panels, inverter, mounting structure, net metering, installation and warranty. The central subsidy is ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW plus ₹18,000 for the third, capped at ₹78,000 for any system of 3 kW or more. Uttar Pradesh adds ₹15,000 per kW, capped at ₹30,000 per consumer, on top of the central subsidy, under the Saurya Uttar Pradesh Yojana in the state's 2022 solar policy.

A 10 kW system is quoted per site because structure, cabling and the inverter choice vary more than on a 3 kW roof; the subsidy on it is the same ₹78,000 plus ₹30,000 per consumer, on top of the central subsidy.

Why 3 kW is the size most Noida homes choose

The subsidy formula pays 60% of the benchmark cost for the first 2 kW and 40% for the third, then nothing. On a 3 kW system the ₹1,08,000 combined subsidy covers roughly half the published price. On 5 kW the subsidy is the same rupee amount against a higher price, so the net cost per kW rises. The published sizing guide is 0–150 units a month: 1–2 kW · 150–300 units: 2–3 kW · above 300 units: above 3 kW. A quick check: add up twelve months of bills and divide by twelve; summer alone will oversize the system.

Net metering in Noida: PVVNL, not NPCL

Noida city's electricity distributor is PVVNL (Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, a UPPCL company). Greater Noida and Greater Noida West are served by NPCL (Noida Power Company Limited). Many pages, and most AI answers, get this wrong; the name at the top of your bill settles it.

Under the UPERC rooftop solar regulations, under the UPERC rooftop solar regulations of 2019, residential users may choose net or gross metering, and the DISCOM allows capacity within transformer limits. The third amendment of those regulations set a compensation rate for injected surplus of the weighted-average large-solar tariff plus 25% (Third Amendment, in force from July 2025).

Verde Solaire files the PM Surya Ghar application, attends the PVVNL inspection and follows the net meter through to activation. Customers in Noida have written about exactly this: a 4 kW installation in Sector 25 whose owner wrote that the team handled the documentation and the liaison for the net meter with the electricity department, and a 6 kW system whose owner "was also able to get solar subsidy in record time because of the follow up of the team". What the electricity bill does after solar

Uttar Pradesh urban domestic tariffs for FY 2026-27 are ₹5.50 (0–150 units), ₹6.00 (151–300), ₹6.50 (301–500) and ₹7.00 (above 500) per unit, plus a fixed charge of ₹110 per kW per month.

A home using 400 units a month sits in the third slab; a 3 kW system generating about 338 units a month removes most of that consumption, and the bill falls to the fixed charge plus whatever the system did not cover. The bill calculator shows the exact arithmetic for your units and sanctioned load. The fixed charge does not go away, which is why "zero bill" claims are not honest; the honest claim is that the energy charge largely disappears.

Paying for it: cash, loan or EMI

The PM Surya Ghar concessional loan is collateral-free, from nationalised banks, at repo rate plus 0.5 percentage points, which was 5.75% on 28 July 2026, over 10 years. On the mid-point of the 3 kW net price that is an EMI close to the monthly saving, which is the point of the scheme. Verde Solaire has tie-ups with SIDBI, SBI and other NBFCs for collateral-free solar loans and helps with the application. The EMI calculator takes any rate and tenure.

Equipment and compliance

Subsidised systems must use both the modules and the cells must be made in India, and since 1 June 2026 the cells must appear on the ALMM List-II. GST on solar equipment is 5% (since 22 September 2025, down from 12%). Verde Solaire's recent Noida and Delhi installations used Adani and Vikram modules of 530 to 545 Wp with KSolare and Delta inverters; every quote names the make and model so you can check them against the approved lists.
