Homeowners in Delhi and Noida comparing SolarSquare with an alternative are usually choosing between two kinds of company: a national brand that sells a standard product with published guarantees, or a local engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company that surveys the roof itself. Its Delhi and Noida pages, read on 18 September 2026 and unchanged when we checked again on 20 September 2026, claim "50,000+ Homes Solarised", "200MW+ Installation Experience" and a presence in "31 Cities across 10 States". The Noida page calls SolarSquare the top installer in Uttar Pradesh by PM Surya Ghar portal count as of 21 April 2026: 18,960 kWp across 4,472 properties statewide and 1,008 kWp across 180 properties in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the district that contains Noida. The Delhi page gives portal counts of 2,881 kWp across 617 properties (20 April 2026) and 3,704 kWp across 806 properties (3 August 2026), alongside a separate claim of "2,000+ solar plants in Delhi" that the page does not reconcile with the smaller portal figure.

On product and service, both pages describe a mounting structure tested for high wind speeds, a generation guarantee that pays a per-unit shortfall, no-cost repair and replacement under a named plan, a one-year water-leakage warranty, and a four-year after-sales plan with at least 36 scheduled visits, remote monitoring and an app. On money, the Delhi page publishes a price table for 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 kW systems, before and after subsidy, and the Noida page publishes an after-subsidy figure for a 3 kW system; both pages say prices are subject to change and describe the loan approval as completed within 24 hours over a repayment period of six months to five years. Both pages give a Delhi head office address in Mumbai and list a Google rating; this page uses no review-site ratings for either company, so that figure is not repeated here.

What to look for in any alternative

1. Portal registration. Confirm the company on pmsuryaghar.gov.in before paying anything; the vendor check guide shows where the list sits for your board.
2. Make and model in writing. Panel, cell and inverter model numbers on the quote. A subsidised system needs modules where both the modules and the cells must be made in India, and from 1 June 2026 the cells must appear on ALMM List-II, the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
3. Who signs and who services. The name on the contract, the warranty and the service call should be one company, whether that is a national brand or a local EPC.
4. Three lines on the quote. Gross price, subsidy and net payable shown separately. You pay the installer; the government pays you, and a quote that shows only a net figure hides the first two.
5. A named person for net metering. Ask who follows your electricity board and what the last few applications on that board took to activate.
6. Warranty in years, per component. Panel, inverter and workmanship separately, in writing, not "warranty included".
7. A survey before the number. A quote given from a satellite image without an engineer on your roof is a guess.
