C-MET Pune: 147 kW for CPWD

Verde Solaire installed a 147 kW rooftop solar plant at C-MET in Pune on an order from CPWD, using Emmvee solar panels and a Delta solar inverter. The customer's review describes the installation work as "very good".

This case study is based on the customer's published review and its confirmed project details: the capacity, client, panel make, inverter make and installation feedback.

Who the client was

C-MET is the Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology, a government research institution with a laboratory in Pune. CPWD is the Central Public Works Department, the agency that builds and maintains central government premises. The order for the plant came through CPWD, which makes this a government works contract rather than a private commercial sale.

Verde Solaire is ISO 9001:2015 certified and is registered with IOCL, UHBVN, DHBVN, CEL, IPGCL, BRPL and CREST for solar power plant installations. It has delivered more than 50 MW of solar projects. Institutional and government work of this kind is described on the institutions page.

What was installed

The review names two components: Emmvee solar panels and a Delta solar inverter. Emmvee is an Indian module maker. Delta inverters also appear on Verde Solaire's 200 kW plant for Jama Corporation in Kanpur, so this is a make the company has used on more than one large roof.

The review does not give the module wattage, the number of modules, the inverter model or the number of inverters, so those are left out here. What the makes mean, and how to read a specification sheet that names them, is covered under solar panels and solar inverters.

What the customer said

Naresh Garg's published feedback praises the quality of Verde Solaire's installation work. The project is a useful example of the components and delivery approach used for institutional rooftop solar.
