430 kW plant commissioned at Dharuhera

On 30 March 2023 Verde Solaire announced that it had installed a 430 kW rooftop solar power plant at a factory in Dharuhera, Haryana, built with Adani solar modules and Havells inverters. This page is the announcement rewritten in plain language; the full account, including the financing, is on the Jindal Prefab project page.

What was published

The post gave five facts about the plant. Its rated power is 430 kW. The modules are from Adani Solar. The inverters are from Havells and, as published at the time, carry a 10-year warranty. A module cleaning system was installed, with walkways between the rows. And the factory is paying the EMI on the loan it took for the plant out of the reduction in its electricity bill.

The post also described the equipment as above the industry standard. That is the company's own description, not a measured figure, and it is repeated here only as such.

What was not published

The announcement did not name the customer, and it gave no module wattage or count, no inverter sizes, no annual yield, no project cost and no loan terms. A later Verde Solaire page from June 2023 identified the site as Jindal Prefab and described the loan; those details are on the project page with their own source, and are not repeated here because they were not part of this announcement.

Why the cleaning system matters

A factory roof in Haryana collects dust for most of the year, and dust is the main reason a plant produces less than its rating suggests. On a roof of this size, panels cannot be reached from the edge, so the plant was built with walkways between the rows and a cleaning system, so that washing does not mean walking on the glass. What cleaning does to output in this region is covered on the monsoon and dust page.

For factories considering the same route

The point the post makes is that a solar loan can be serviced from the bill saving while the plant is still being repaid. The solar loan page explains how such a loan is applied for, the commercial and industrial page covers how a plant of this size is sized and connected, and the commercial payback calculator does the arithmetic with your own tariff, load and loan terms. Every published installation is listed on the projects page; other announcements are under updates.
